This is a psychological test based developed in 1947. It is based on the principle that personality traits can be identified based on one’s colour preferences.
As we all know, different colours have different wavelengths. When we see a colour/light, our retina sends signals to the part of brain called the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus then releases various hormones, which are responsible for us feeling various emotions.
Your choice of colours reflect your state of mind, mood and emotions you’re currently feeling. It can tell whether you are motivated or not, whether you are avoiding certain situations in life, whether you are hopeful or not.
Just this colour test can bring you and your psychologist/therapist a lot of awareness about your current reality. This is why this colour test is one of our go-to tools of diagnosis.
This works wonders during child counselling too. We also use it to monitor shifts in our clients’ emotional/ psychological state after therapy.
